You are more blessed than you think you are!

As always, when Joy and I would feel so depressed with the things happening around us, God would send His angels to give us reasons to smile.

Whenever we feel unloved, God always comes right on time to save the day. God would send people to us to cheer us up and lift up our spirits. God would even move people to do things that would make us feel loved and cared for. In our experience, God has always comforted us in our gloomy days in unexpected ways you never imagined He would do.

We patiently bear the hardships and difficulties we are experiencing.  We suffer in silence because we try our best not to be a heavy burden to others.

There are days ... Actually, it's been months now that we seldom eat.  We are very grateful to God for those rare nights when God would provide food on our table. For days, we would skip breakfast, lunch, and even dinner because we don't have that much money to buy food for a day's meal.  If our tight budget allows, we buy a pack of candies. These candies help us last through the day.  There are also days we would only eat biscuits or soda crackers for supper.  At times, we eat the cheap, mini packs of "Chiquito" peanuts. We satisfy our hunger by eating a mini pack or two of those peanuts. Or just drink a cup of coffee or two to get through the day or to get by for the night.

I was even wondering how we were able to get through those days and weeks without any food at all.

We are astonished by God's intervention when out of the blue, He would move a friend to send us some food enough to feed us both for two days. We never asked that kindhearted person to send us food but by God's mercy, she on her own initiative thought of sending us those goodies. It is not her obligation to do so but out of compassion, knowing the predicament we are in, she thought of sharing her blessings with us. God bless and prosper her!

I and my sister Joy spend most of our days talking about God's goodness in our lives.   We are so engulfed with God's miracles and great love that hours would pass us by and we forget we had not eaten the whole day. It is amazing how we don't appear malnourished in our bodies.  We believe it is God's graces that give us strength and make us able to survive our ordeal.

There are even envious people in our lives who thought we eat heavy, expensive meals every day.  They thought that the happy expressions on our faces are a result of living carefree, extravagant lifestyles like those of the rich and famous.  God knows how we lived simple lives.  They don't know about the daily sufferings we go through. No one knew about the sacrifices we make to make ends meet.

Our hearts are full of gladness for we know we are far more fortunate than others because we still have a comfy bed to sleep on, a roof over our heads, a house and a home to keep us warm and safe, clothes that makes us appealing and decent to look at, ... and the zillion reasons to thank God for. Despite what we are going through, you would find my sister Joy and I share stories of God's countless miracles to us and how joyfully we are praising Him.

Still, we go on facing each day full of hopes that one day all these trials would come to an end and God would again prosper us and grant us bountiful days. God has never left nor forsaken us. These trying times are just one of the challenging phases we had to go through.

God's tremendous love and His great presence in our lives make every difficult situation bearable.

I have shared these with you to let you know that whatever hardships you are going through in life right now, don't ever think you are the most unfortunate person in the whole world.  No. For sure, people are undergoing much worst than what you are experiencing.

As always, we have an infinite measure of reasons to be thankful to God.

As you go through the tests of life, you must not see it as the end of the story. God allows such things to happen for you to experience His saving grace. It is through those difficult times that you witness God's power at work in your life.   Always focus your eyes on the Lord Jesus and you would realize that the things that are happening in your life are God's ways to make you appreciate His immense love for you and His presence felt.

So, when you think that the whole world has crumbled down on you, lift up your hands to God in prayer. Believe and know in your heart that God has the best surprises in store for you! The best is yet to come!

If you don't taste heaven in this world, don't lose hope. Jesus warned us that things wouldn't be easy for us in this life.

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.   - John 16:33 , King James Version

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. – Revelations 3: 19 King James Version

Jesus revealed to us that we are to share in His sufferings and sacrifices. That is why Jesus said ...

24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.   - Matthew 16:24-26 , King James Version

Jesus assured us that when we endure sufferings to the end, we anticipate a great banquet in His kingdom intended for our full enjoyment. For it is written,

11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. - Psalm 16:11 , KJV

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. - 1 Corinthians 2:9 , King James Version

12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. - James 1:12 , New International Version

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

 Revelations 22:12 King James Version

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13 , New International Version

God be praised and glorified forever and ever! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
