God is UnbelievableI
When I was young I am so fond of admiring works of art by famous artists. From framed paintings displayed on walls of the buildings we've gone to, painting exhibits, and well-kept art in the museums to sculptures, I have always loved and admired such works. I was hoping one day I would be one of those popular painters or sculptors that are usually mentioned in our country's history.
When I gaze upon a painting and see how it's beautifully and intricately done. I admire the painter's well-thought concept. How the artist put together his or her creative ideas into this one wonderful piece of art. Using the painter's imagination, creativity, time, and effort to come up with this obra maestra or masterpiece of art that many of us only take a few minutes to behold. We seldom realize or appreciate the fact that the artist put on so much effort and time that took days, weeks, months, or even years to put together and finish such a masterpiece.
Each time I gaze into a beautiful painting or work of art, I am in awe of how great the artist or painter is, to have come up with such an amazing piece of art.
When my Mom and I went to the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City I was in awe of the different stone sculptures there.
From University Avenue to the famous Oblation to the rest of the parts of the university, you'll see astonishing sculptures.

I wondered to myself, " Is there a chance for me to have one of my artworks be a sculpture like those of the famous sculptors? How would it feel to have my own designed sculpture in one of the famous places like these sculptures in UP Diliman? How I wish! "
Years passed I'd forgotten about it.
A lot of things happened.
Finally, I found myself at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
I worked there in the Dean's Office. I was in charge of the promotion of the college such as designing the tarpaulins for its events.
One time, the dean requested me to make a design for a trophy she was planning to give the college's awardees.
I was so excited about designing the trophy. It's an opportunity to use my old design which I kept all these years. Since it's a symbol of a family, my design is a perfect fit for the Dean's required design.
I refined the sketches of my old design symbol of a family. When done, I made an outline drawing of it on my computer. I made a printed copy of it and showed it to the Dean to know if she would approve of my idea.
Happily, she liked it very much and instructed me to make a trophy design out of it.
I made several researches on suppliers and makers of trophies here in Metro Manila. I've come to learn the different kinds of trophies, what they're made of, how much one costs, and how long it would take to make one.
I chose the glass trophy thinking that my design, "The Family" would look astonishing if it's made in glass.
I presented the idea to the Dean and she agreed to have the trophy be made of glass.
It was Riviera Mastercraft, Inc. who was able to meet my requirements for the glass trophy. I coordinated with their in-house artists and glass cutters and they delivered the glass trophies I ordered on time for the coming event of the college which was for rewarding the dedicated, exemplary, retiring employees and faculty members.
When the boxes of glass trophies arrived, I excitedly opened one of the boxes to see how it turned out.
It was truly fulfilling to see my design in a form of a glass. What a beauty to behold!
I showed it to the Dean and as expected, she, too is fully satisfied with the perfect outcome of the idea I presented to her days ago.
She congratulated me for a job well done.
The faculty members and retiring employees who were awarded such glass trophies were very happy with what they received.
Years after, the same dean, Dean Aurorita T. Roldan who requested me to make the design for the glass trophies, ordered my design to be made and turned into a metal sculpture. It was made into one of the landmarks of the college's buildings.
I am so grateful to God for He has fulfilled one of my greatest dreams.
God is so unbelievable!
I wasn't even expecting this dream would come true! Never did it occur to me that I'd one day indeed truly see my design standing as a landmark in the state university.
Who would have thought that I am not a known artist or sculptor and yet, without any effort, God made it possible for my design to be the sculpture I was dreaming of it to be. God even exceeded my expectations in that He turned it not only into a stone sculpture but turned my design into a sturdy, metal sculpture that would last for years.
